Michael Yan Medical Aid Fund
Michael Yan, a former Paulian, suffered a stroke on March 1 2017, and is currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Michael Yan’s contribution to the St Paul’s Institution (both Primary and Secondary) is invaluable. As a student, he had brought glory to the school through his diligence in studies and active involvement in sports, especially hockey. The school is proud of his excellent achievements in the international sports arena.
More than that, Michael Yan never failed to serve his Alma Mater with his tireless support and professional expertise especially in the schools’ infrastructure development. He had been directly involved in designing the architecture of extension blocks in both the schools. Besides that, Michael Yan also played a vital role as an OPA representative in the SPI Primary Board of Governors for a number of years.
St Paul’s Institution is indeed indebted to Michael Yan for his selfless efforts to improve the condition of the schools and to bring them to greater heights. He has been a familiar figure in the school grounds, walking around and checking the buildings for areas which need attention and repair of upgrade, even on weekends. The school administration and the Board of Governors has relied on his expert advice on all their infrastructure development and landscaping projects, from the drawing board to the selection of contractors, right until the inspection of work done. That was his undying commitment to our schools.
As such, in his time of need, it is only right for us to support his cause. As fellow Paulians, let us rally around him and his family and show our appreciation for all he has done for St Paul’s Institution. Your financial support will go a long way to help him recover from his dire condition.
